The one hundred maisons

Fashion, jewellery, horology, automobiles, beauty, hospitality and spirits — one hundred houses read the way Tiffany set a stone, Cartier drew a line, Rolex kept a time and Lamborghini cut a wedge. Every figure on this site names the publisher, the table and the year that published it, or it is not on this site.

One owner stands behind all of it: LABS publishes this register, builds labs.llc and runs the 10 review sites below. How the register works.

The reviews, reviewed

100 reviews from 10 review sites, filed by shelf

Ten sites test labs.llc tools against rivals they name: ten tools each, no tool reviewed twice. The register reads them the way it reads a maison, by what the tool is for. Nothing here is independent, and this page scores nothing.

The ateliers

Seven ateliers

Every maison sits in exactly one room. Fashion is not jewellery. A watch is not a car. The category is the first analytical act, and mixing two of them is how a reader ends up comparing a bag to a Brand Finance line about an SUV.

The dossier

The reading

Scarcity is a factory setting

France still holds nearly half of measured luxury-and-premium brand value. Italy holds the ateliers. Switzerland holds the wrist. Germany holds the engine. The United States holds the occasion — the engagement ring, the hotel check-in, the dressing table.

What changed across 2025 and 2026 is not the map. It is the split inside the map. Hermès, Cartier, Rolex and Chanel compounded. Houses that had spent a decade shouting a logo had to learn to speak quietly again, and the ones that could not are in a reset that will take about three years.

How this register handles a figure

Sixty-one checkable claims in this register were taken to their sources before a page of it was generated. Thirty-eight survived. Twenty-three did not. Five figures were cut outright, and nothing was invented to replace them — including one on this page, which used to carry a Rolex brand value from a luxury table that was never issued for that year.

Two maisons in the hundred now carry no figure at all, because no published one exists. That is not a gap in the register. It is the register working.

All twenty answered on the day they were checked.
